About RJK Renovations

After a decade in the construction business,  RJK Homes was getting an increasing number of requests for renovation work from homeowners that decided to renovate.   In 2009 RJK Renovations was formed in order to train a staff that would be prepared to specialize in the renovation side of the business.  Both RJK Homes and RJK Renovations are family owned and operated.

At RJK Renovations we don’t estimate. Free written quotations will be provided after a visit to your home to review the scope of work. Upon acceptance, the quotation will serve as your contract with the scope of work clearly outlined. Any changes in the scope of work will also be in writing so there are no “surprises”. This is what we call our "No Surprise Protection Plan." A project manager will be assigned to you and will keep you updated on scheduling and progress. They will be your direct line of communication during your remodel and make sure all necessary permits are obtained and required inspections are performed. We carry Worker’s Compensation Insurance and General Liability Insurance and we require our sub-contractors to carry the same.

RJK Renovations in the community
In April of 2011 RJK Renovations came to the aid of a five year old boy and his single mother. Dylan was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma, a rare form of soft tissue cancer. Specialists discovered an inoperable tumor on his leg which would ultimately have to be amputated just below the knee. Living in South Florida at the time, Dylan and his mom made the 780 mile journey to Woodstock to live with his mom’s sister while undergoing treatment. In just four days her sister’s family (with three children of her own) prepared a small makeshift bedroom with a half bath in the basement. This meant that after his surgery Dylan’s mom would have to carry him up and down the stairs to bathe him.

RJK Renovations saw Dylan’s story in a local publication in a column called “Everyday Angels”. We called on our subcontractors and suppliers and were able to get donations of time, labor and materials in order to turn the half bathroom into a full bathroom with a walk in shower for Dylan and his mom. It was a very rewarding experience to be able to give back to the community.
